CT Scan

To make a precise comparison with bones, we printed cylindrical and femur models using Bone Filament and confirmed their CT numbers through CT scanning.

Printing anatomical models

Throught the utilization of bone filament, realistic color and density were successfully replicated, closely resembling that of actual bones.

Expressions using medical images

and CT measurements confirmed a CT number of 1000 ± 200 HU, indicating similarity to human bones.

CT number

HU is measured by selecting the area of interest in the central region after adjusting the CT images with a WW:1500/WL:600 setting and slicing them into axial and coronal views.

CT number?

CT number is a relative measure of X-ray absorption in tissues. It represents the relative absorption characteristics or tissies in the human body as HU(Hounsfield Units.)
